What a Full Generator Service Visit Includes

Every ARK maintenance visit is a thorough inspection, not a quick drive-by. A typical annual service on a residential standby generator covers:

• Oil and oil filter change - Using manufacturer-specified oil and OEM filters.
• Air filter inspection or replacement - Replaced if restricted or contaminated.
• Spark plug inspection - Gapped and replaced as needed.
• Battery test - Load test and terminal cleaning; battery replacement if failing.
• Coolant and fuel system check - Hoses, clamps, and fittings inspected.
• Automatic transfer switch exercise - Verify the ATS cycles properly under load.
• Controller and fault log review - Any stored faults read and explained.
• Full operational run - Generator is started, run under load, and observed for vibration, noise, or abnormal indicators.
• Written report - You get a full report of what we checked, what we replaced, and anything to watch.

Commercial Maintenance and NFPA 110 Load Bank Testing

Commercial and institutional generators - especially those serving healthcare, life-safety, and data centers - are subject to NFPA 110 annual testing requirements. ARK provides full NFPA 110 load bank testing, fuel polishing, controller updates, and complete service documentation for your facility manager, insurer, and AHJ.
